TheOne Kafé

TheOne Kafé is a purpose-driven coffee company dedicated to fostering transparency, sustainability, and community empowerment. Sourcing premium coffee from smallholder producers in Guatemala, particularly from Finca San Antonio in Fraijanes, the company emphasizes traceability from farm to cup. Through a partnership with United Rescue Alliance (URA), TheOne Kafé contributes 10% of its profits to support initiatives in disaster preparedness, education, and community resilience in Guatemala. Their collaboration includes building a sustainability-focused wet mill to process coffee cherries efficiently. By choosing TheOne Kafé, consumers not only enjoy high-quality coffee but also support meaningful social impact and environmental stewardship.

Camp Barkeley Training & Equipping Center

Camp Barkeley Training & Equipping Center is a transformative facility located on 1,000 acres of the historic World War II U.S. Army training base in Abilene, Texas. Established by Norm and Angel Poorman, the center serves as a hub for education, retreat, networking, and preservation. It offers a range of programs, including missions training, disaster preparedness, and leadership development, all aimed at equipping individuals and communities for sustainable impact. The center also houses the United Rescue Alliance, an organization dedicated to disaster relief and community resilience. In addition to its training programs, Camp Barkeley hosts events, retreats, and provides venue rentals, making it a versatile space for various gatherings.

United Rescue Alliance

United Rescue Alliance (URA) is a faith-based disaster and crisis response organization dedicated to equipping and mobilizing specialty-trained teams to save lives and provide hope during emergencies. Their mission focuses on empowering communities through disaster preparedness, response, and transformation, emphasizing community resiliency and sustainable solutions. URA's initiatives include offering virtual training programs such as Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) and Mental, Emotional, Social, and Spiritual Health (MESSH) courses. Additionally, they engage in global outreach efforts, including disaster response in regions like California, Israel, and Guatemala. Through partnerships with organizations like Watts of Love and Good360, URA distributes essential resources like solar lights and cleaning supplies to support affected communities. Their holistic approach integrates physical aid with emotional and spiritual support, aiming to restore and transform lives impacted by crises.

Big Country volunteers aid Central Texas flood victims

ABILENE, Texas (KTAB/KRBC) – As Central Texas faces one of its worst flooding events in recent history, Abilene-based organizations are stepping up.

Relief teams from the Big Country, including the United Rescue Alliance (URA), have mobilized in Kerrville—managing donation centers, distributing supplies, and providing emotional support. URA is leading efforts by coordinating with local agencies and setting up donation warehouses.

How Amazon is helping flood-impacted communities across central Texas

We are working closely with first responders, nonprofit organizations, and relief agencies to support communities affected by the flooding.

Amazon is partnering with over a dozen organizations to deliver emergency relief to the grieving communities of Central Texas, where devastating flash floods on July 4 claimed more than 130 lives in Kerrville and surrounding areas.
